Patagonia Team Sports:

Andy Marker - Patagonia Special Market Sales & Marketing Director

Andy's been at Patagonia for just under 7 years, having previously done time at The North Face, Nike, Specialized Bikes, Black Diamond Equipment and a few other industry gigs. Andy swims competively, skis, bikes, runs, paddles outrigger canoes, surfs (kinda), rides a Ducati, mow lawns, weeds, paints..etc. Before moving to SoCal, he skied a lot and climbed a lot and way long ago, when he wasn't so creaky, he played ultimate and other things that he really wasn't any good at in the first place...

Alison Ferguson - Team Sales & Marketing Rep

Ali

A graduate of CU Boulder and an 9 year veteran with Patagonia, Ali has lived in Chamonix, France and other locales whilst pursuing her early passion of skiing. She's also traveled around the world to places like the Cook Islands, New Zealand, Australia and Indonesia searching for good surf and then after selling gear, kept on going to Thailand, Nepal, India and Africa looking for more adventure... She's competed in surfing, volleyball, tennis and still loves to ski and surf whenever she can. A recent purchaser of her first outrigger canoe (OC-1), Alison continue to loves the water a block away from the offices here at Patagonia when the surf's not firing.

When not out doing something athletic, Ali spends as much time as she can with her 2 year old daughter Quinn and her husband Tony.

Why I like working with athletes: "Working with the athletes keeps me in touch with the core users of their sports. Rowers, Outrigger paddlers, Sailors, Kayak paddlers and other ocean/water athletes appreciate Patagonia products for its quality and function. As a water athlete myself I can assist in positioning Patagonia products for the given sport. Understanding the needs of teams and athletes and what they demand from their apparel is a key element in what we do here in team sales."

George Plomarity - Team Sales & Marketing Rep

George P

George Plomarity has been with Patagonia for just over 2 years. Raised on the shores of the gulf of Mexico, he has been an all around athlete his entire life competing heavily in soccer, rugby, and gymnastics...but his life long passion has been surfing since he caught his first wave in the warm waters off of Texas.  Upon graduating from Texas A&M University George packed his bags and split for the fine weather and excellent waves of the west coast stopping in many places but ended up staying in Ventura, the home of Patagonia and knew he had found a great place to stay.

Why I like working with athletes: "I like working with athletes because I like the focus, commitment and honesty you find in true athletes.  I love the way some one who is truly passionate about their sport has the ability to make others excited as well - its all about sharing the stoke!"

Allison Allen - Special Market Operations Manager

Allison Allen is our operations manager and that means she helps things go smoothly for all of us. Born and raised in La Jolla, CA, Allison now call Santa Barbara home and loves Southern California. Allison has a clean and perfect bottom turn and has very much helped with our "how many surf days did our department get this month.." I'm happy she's found a home amongst us here at Patagonia.

She likes working with athletes at Patagonia after watching athletes from around the world struggle with gear that their "sponsors" gave them that really didn't fill the bill. "Getting real athletes into world class equipment so they can perform drives my day...".

Lastly, it should be stated that this website is not a production of patagonia marketing nor it's contracted website designers (as if it wasn't clear, being a bit rough), but a bit of a rogue effort on behalf of the team sports division to support the sports and teams we so value. Corporate Patagonia hasn't had the resources available at this time to help us so please allow us a few mistakes and time as we build this site in the evenings and on the weekends. We'll do our best to present our mission and your opportunities as best we can. Thanks...
